Behind Damn Delicious GmbH is Federico Freiermuth, an imaginative Swiss-Ecuadorian and dedicated restaurateur. Fede – as his friends and family call him – gathered many ideas for special gastronomic concepts while studying at the Lucerne Hotel Management School. From these, he forged plans for future self-employment, which he soon realised.

The starting signal was given in 2017 with DOGFATHER, a cult hot dog concept: it can be used as a pop-up restaurant, a fixed sales outlet or a mobile stand at events and parties, etc.

The next coup came in 2018 with the takeover of the Weisses Rössli restaurant in Zurich's Enge district. Just one year later, Fede launched picknick.ch – an online shop for deliciously filled ‘picnic baskets’. The picnic is packed into disused wooden wine cases, which can then be used as a table and returned after the picnic. It's clever and environmentally friendly.

Fede is far from running out of ideas: his summer pop-up concept "El Patio Latino" entered its third round in 2023. With Coffee and Plants, he realised a long-cherished dream in 2021: a combination of café-bar and plant shop in Zurich's Sihlcity shopping centre (2nd floor). Fede had also been thinking about a restaurant by the lake for a long time. Since spring 2023, Damn Delicious GmbH has been running the restaurant with a lakeside terrace at the lido in Wädenswil (Sträme Wädenswil).

Expansion is also on the agenda for 2025: Fede and Thomas Krebs from Seerose are taking over the traditional Stadthof restaurant in Bremgarten and turning it into a restaurant serving modern Swiss cuisine with regional roots and a lot of heart. At almost the same time, the Casi Casa concept is creating a vibrant venue on Europaallee for anyone who enjoys Latin American culinary and cultural inspiration. Sabor latino in the heart of Zurich.
